Clearing the Air

Clearing the Air sonifies the Air Quality Index data in Boston, Massachusetts, such that the number of coughs heard equals the current AQI number. A high AQI value (worse air quality) thus results in an extended coughing "fit", providing a visceral, real-time indication of how air quality impacts our health.
